On Tuesday, 22.03.2022, Benedikt Mark from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) visited the new Mini Learning Factory Center of the Chiang Mai University. Prof. Wasawat Nakkiew showed the new facilities with the Mini Learning Factory Center together with classrooms for students and equipment. This laboratory tour was interesting for both, Prof. Nakkiew and Mr. Mark since they could exchange their opinions on the use of learning factories and future equipment.
On Wednesday, 16.03.2022, Benedikt Mark from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) visited the Northern Science Park together with the lecturer Dr. Tinnakorn Phongthiya organized by Prof. Korrakot Yaibuathet from Industrial Engineering department of Chiang Mai University. It set the basis for interesting discussions together with other researchers from Chiang Mai University.
On 11 April Prof Till Becker from University of Applied Sciences of Emden/Leer hold a guest lecture on Text Mining for automating Business processes in SMEs. 15 participants of the SME 4.0 project from University of Bolzano and Chiang Mai University as well as external companies ans researchers participated on site and online and discussed possibilities and potentials of AI and Machine Learning for SMEs.
From 17 March to 19 April Dr. Salinee Santiteerakul, Dr. Chompoonoot Kasemset and Dr. Tinnakorn Phongthiya from Industrial Engineering department of Chiang Mai University are visiting the Free University of Bolzano. During their stay they will work with other researchers from the UNIBZ Smart Mini Factory lab on the research project SME 4.0. A highlight of the trip was also the visit of the NOI TechnPark in the South of Bolzano, a new innovation district that focuses on key emerging technologies and their transfer to industry.
